How to Fish Online daily challenge — a chain of hooked fish flung into the sky

Daily Fishing Challenge

Every day the ocean in How to Fish Online is reshuffled into a new daily challenge. Everyone who plays on the same date fishes the same sea with the same gear — so your score means something when you post it.

How the daily challenge works

  • One new sea a day. Fish positions, species and swimming directions are fixed for the day. A new challenge starts at midnight in your time zone.
  • Three tries. Your best run of the day is the one that counts. Use the first try to scout, the next two to chase it.
  • Gear is chosen for you. Each day picks a line (50 m, 80 m or 120 m) and a weapon (pistol or shotgun). Some days you get the deep swordfish water with only a pistol; other days a short line and a shotgun.
  • Separate from your main game. Coins you earn here don't go into your main-game wallet and there is no Double or Nothing wheel — the daily score stays a pure test of dodging, hooking and shooting.

Scoring

Your score is the money you bring home in one run. Deeper fish are worth more — sardines $1, bass $3, mackerel $8, pufferfish $15, swordfish $40 — and every consecutive hit in the air adds 0.25× to the combo multiplier, so a clean chain of shots is worth far more than the same fish shot with misses in between. The combo shooting guide has the details, and the 120 m guide helps on deep-line days.

Streaks and sharing

Play at least one run a day to build a streak; miss a day and it resets. After a run, tap Share result to copy a short summary — challenge number, gear and best score — and paste it into a chat or group.

FAQ

Is the daily challenge the same for everyone?

Yes. Everyone who plays on the same date gets the same fish layout and the same gear. The only difference is screen shape: wide desktop screens fit more fish across than a phone, so compare scores with players on similar devices.

When does a new challenge start?

At midnight in your own time zone, like other daily puzzle games. The results screen shows a countdown once your three tries are used.

Do I need an account?

No. Your tries, best score and streak are stored in your browser on this device. Nothing is sent to a server.
